El Al Israel Airlines has announced the resumption of cargo transportation on passenger rescue flights operated by the airline to and from Israel, effective March 22, 2026.
Important to note:
- The determining date is the departure date for export shipments and the arrival date for import shipments;
- Cargo transport on passenger flights operating as part of the rescue flights to and from Israel is subject to approval by Israeli security authorities and aviation regulators;
- At this stage cargo transport has been approved only on the following routes:
- New York – import and export
- London – import and export
- Bangkok – import only
- New York – import and export
- Dangerous goods are currently not permitted on these flights.
As high demand is expected, early planning and booking are highly recommended.
