MSC Israel has announced that effective 1 December 2025, consignees arriving to collect delivery orders for shipments entering Israel under Sea Waybill or Telex Release will be required to present an additional document, in addition to the non-negotiable transport documents.
The additional document, titled “Letter of Acknowledgement for shipments made under Sea Waybill / Telex Release” must be submitted from 1 December 2025 onward, printed on the consignee’s official company letterhead.
The Israeli Association of Customs Brokers and International Freight Forwarders has approached MSC management to oppose the requirement and to demand its immediate suspension, arguing that the content of the additional letter does not align with international standards.
