The VAT exemption threshold for personal imports to Israel has been updated and has reverted to USD 75.
The Israel Tax Authority and Customs computer systems have been updated accordingly, and effective June 2, 2026, the exemption threshold is once again set at USD 75.
As a result, shipments valued between USD 75 and USD 130, which were fully exempt from taxes during the past several months, will now be subject to 18% VAT.
Please note that eligibility for the exemption is determined solely based on the value of the goods contained in the shipment. Shipping and insurance costs are not included when calculating the exemption threshold.
