El Al resumes cargo transportation on passenger rescue flights to and from Israel

El Al Israel Airlines has announced the resumption of cargo transportation on passenger rescue flights operated by the airline to and from Israel, effective March 22, 2026.

Important to note:

• The determining date is the departure date for export shipments and the arrival date for import shipments;
  
• Cargo transport on passenger flights operating as part of the rescue flights to and from Israel is subject to approval by Israeli security authorities and aviation regulators;
  
• At this stage cargo transport has been approved only on the following routes:
  
  • New York – import and export
    
  • London – import and export
    
  • Bangkok – import only
    
• Dangerous goods are currently not permitted on these flights.
  

As high demand is expected, early planning and booking are highly recommended.
