Inter Continental Labour Limited (“ICL”) is an international recruitment agency which is based in Mauritius and operates in the UK market.

The company was formed in July 2003 as a private company limited by shares in Mauritius, regulated by the Financial Services Commission.

Research undertaken in the market recognised a common weakness in the industry in that personnel supplied were generally from the lower end of the labour market. Typically the complaints from users of temporary staff were that personnel:

• were poorly motivated;
• were subject to high levels of turnover, in that there were different personnel each week
• were unreliable with poor attendance and timekeeping;
• gave minimum effort; and
• were in many cases unwilling to work overtime

The use of agency workers was however seen as a necessary evil in managing the peaks and throughs of production demand and the fluctuations in labour required during any given period.

ICL is a fully-accredited member of :
GANGMASTERS LICENSING ASSOCIATION (GLA)
GLA:- INTE0004
The Association of Labour Providers (the ALP)

ICL supplies temporary staff into the UK market sourced mainly from Eastern Europe, South Africa and its neighbouring countries, a region where the culture, attitude to work and the reliability of people is much improved on the quality of staff traditionally supplied within the UK.

Staff are contracted with ICL and form a core personnel pool, enabling them to circulate amongst clients depending on individual client requirements. In this way, the attrition rate of staff is significantly reduced, as are the adverse side effects of having to induct and train up new staff from scratch.

Although there is a diversity of languages spoken in Europe, all staff are able to speak read and write English to the level of your requirements.

The company has successfully been supplying labour throughout the North West of England to a range of clients, and in the process has developed strong and loyal relationships with such clients, some of whom have been with ICL since its inception in 2003 This must be set against a background of extreme growth and competitiveness within the agency worker sector.

ICL continues to build on success and prides itself on being able to provide both long-term, short-term contracts and permanent placement offering a wide range of solutions to corporate clients, which can vary from traditional staffing to volume recruitment.

Labour
Having operated in the market of outsourced labour solutions with multi-national staff for several years, ICL is familiar with all the necessary documentation and legal paperwork that needs to be vetted and filed with the regulatory bodies and authorities, thereby ensuring that all staff are eligible to work in the UK.

We have several sites whom we have supplied up to and over 100 staff per site.

On one site we are supplying 60% of the work force from operatives all the way through to engineers. The client has found that the productivity and control systems we have put in place have attributed to the growth of the company over the last 5 years.

As an international company the staff are all English speaking multi-nationals, ensuring good communications between ICL staff and client’s management.
